Sokleang's story

Sokleang is a married woman who has been involved in rice farming and cassava growing for over ten years. She is living in a small house located in Dambae district, Tbaung Khmum province with her husband. Through these businesses, she and her husband can save about 5USD per day.

Since the price of her crop has dropped in the market and is threatened by insects, it causes her to earn lower income than before. To keep supporting her business, she is now requesting a loan via VisionFund which is the second loan cycle for her. Sokleang has successfully managed and repaid the previous loan.

For this new loan portion, she will use it to buy good fertilizer and pay for labor fees in order to support her business. She hopes this supportive loan will provide her with a better income so to improve her living standards.
