A loan helped a member to buy rice seed and organic fertilizer.

Sida's Group's story

A villager from a rural area located in Prey Veng province, Sida is 32 years old and the mother of four children. To support her living, she is growing rice to earn income for her family.

Because of flooding, her rice did not grow well, which is her main challenge. Her husband is working as a carpenter to get supplemental income. Together, she can keep about $7 USD per day for her savings. She has been with her business for many years.

This loan is her third loan with VisionFund Cambodia. Through the previous loans, her family's conditions have improved.

In a group of four members, she is the group leader. She will use her portion of the loan to buy rice seed and organic fertilizer to improve her farmland. She hopes that she can get more yields to increase her income, so that she can support her children’s education and update her lifestyle even more in the future.

In this group: Sida, Reon, Savorn, Kunthea
