A loan helped to purchase farm supplies in order to improve her sales, and she will have better income for her family.

Juliana's story

Juliana lives and works in Colomi. Economically, she is independent. She is hard-working, responsible, and enterprising in covering her basic survival needs. She is married and has three dependent children (who are her grandchildren). She also sends them to school.

She has worked in agriculture from the time she was very young. She has a lot of experience and time in this work. She plants potatoes and beans, the main products that are in high demand at the market. She owns the land that she farms. She received it as an inheritance from her parents. It is approximately three hectares in the La Guinda cooperative. She produces potatoes and beans. She rotates them with crops such as fodder oats and barley for feeding her cattle.

Juliana needs a loan for the purchase of farm supplies, such as two and a half truckloads of organic compost (from a chicken coop), and her eventual labor costs. She wants to anticipate any risk so that she has no contingency in the normal course of her work. And she wants to provide the agriculture inputs, which are the most important thing for planting her crops.
