Sokphorn is 55 years old and is a married mother of six dependent children; three of them are in school. She and her beloved family live in the Phnom Srouch district of Kampong Speu province, Cambodia.
To earn a living, she has been growing rice as the main source of her family’s income for over ten years. Recently, she could not gain as large a crop as before because her crop was threatened by insects. To save her business, she needs some working capital to cover farming expenses such as seeds and fertilizer to grow her crop well.
Because of this, Sokphorn is now leading a group of five members to fulfill their dreams. She hopes this supportive loan will help her to gain greater yields as well as to increase her income to save for future needs.
