A loan helped to buy mineral fertilizer and seeds for her farming business.

Khonbuvi's story

Khonbuvi was born in 1979, is married, and has two children. For eighteen years, she has earned a living as a farmer. She has her own business where she sows maize, corn, and other crops on a rented hectare plot. She loves her job and is the family's main breadwinner. Her husband helps her with the business. Also she deals with animal husbandry. She has a dairy cow which is feeding at her barn.

With the time for sowing a new crop approaching, Khonbuvi lacks the funds to buy maize, corn, seeds and mineral fertilizer for her farming business. This is why she is seeking a loan of 4,300 TJS, her first request to Kiva’s field partner IMON. She is grateful to have the support of the Kiva lenders.
