A loan helped to buy more ingredients that will be used to make more bread to sell.

Beatrice's story

Beatrice is a 49-year-old woman who is married and the mother of seven children. She is a businesswoman and has run a bakery that sells different types of bread in a local shop for 10 years. Her business is doing well. But due to her insufficient capital, she is compelled to pay for supplies at the retail level, resulting in low returns.

Therefore, she is requesting this loan to buy more ingredients that will be used to make more bread to sell. This will increase her sales, volume, and so her profit. She will reinvest part of the profit in her business to expand it. And the rest will enable her to meet the day-to-day needs of her family.

Beatrice attended school up to 12th grade. Three of her children are in school. In the future, she would like to increase in business by building a store. She wishes to say thanks to all lenders around the world.

This loan is special because:

It serves low-income individuals in rural Liberia where few alternative funding sources exist.
