A loan helped to buy some livestock in order to increase the size of her herd and to produce more organic milk.

Gulkaiyr's story

Gulkaiyr is 40 years old, married, and the mother of two children (a boy and a girl). She has a secondary education. She makes a living growing crops and raising livestock. Thanks to her very hard work, she now has two cows and eight horses on her farm. She also uses 0.4 hectares of land to grow alfalfa which she uses as feed for her livestock. She makes a monthly income of 12,000 som (KGS).

Eager to further develop her farming business, Gulkaiyr has turned to Bai Tushum Bank and requested a loan of 150,000 som (KGS). This loan will help her to buy a few more head of livestock and increase her sales of organic milk. She is planning to use the earnings from her loan to further increase her number of farm animals. She would also like to buy a plot of land on which to build a shed.
