A loan helped a member to buy seeds.

Quiswaras Group's story

The “Quiswaras” loan group will start its first cycle with Pro Mujer, as part of the Centro Focal Copacabana. It is composed of nine members and is directed by a board where Luisa is the president.

The loan that they will take out will benefit small businesswomen like Luisa. She currently has a business selling potatoes. She learned this business on her own initiative several years ago.

The loan that she will take out will be to increase capital by buying seeds that she will get from the wholesale vendors in her community. After planting and harvesting, this will help her as a way of production. This form of work allows her to get an income to support her family economically. She is married and has four children.

In this group: Luisa Areopagita, Nora Dora , Angelica, Nery Concepcion, Herminia, Jhudith Rosalia, Luis Daniel , Lourdes Susana, Lino

Translated from Spanish by Kiva volunteer Mara Nagaki.
