Silvia's story

Silvia is a 27-year-old farmer from Petresti village, Ungheni region in Moldova. She’s married and has two daughters who are pupils. Her husband is a constructor and he helps Silvia manage the farm.

Silvia has worked in agriculture for two years. She owns 1.2 hectares of land, where she usually grows cereals. On her farm, Silvia raises two cows, six sheep and 50 poultry that require food, part of the cereals she sells. She earns money from selling agricultural goods and cereals, and it is a main source of income for her family.

It is now the sowing period and processing agricultural lands. A loan from Kiva will help Silvia to pay for agriculture works and to buy seeds for planting. As a result, she will be able to develop her business for a better future for her friendly family.
