Leena's story

Leena, who appears in the photo, is a 34-year-old from Dier Al Balah, Gaza Strip. She is a married woman lives with her husband in a small house. Her husband takes a low salary as a governmental aid, so low that it isn't enough for basic needs.

Leena started working in sewing to help her husband with the family expenses. She went to Palestine for Credit and Development to take a US Dollar loan to buy a sewing machine, yarns and fabrics, to sew embroidered items and clothes.
