Zareena's story

Zareena is a 51-year-old single mother of two children who lives in Multan, Pakistan. Her son has been in the business of vehicle poshesh (chair covers) for two years. He has tremendous skill in doing it and has become famous in his community, catering to a large number of customers. He makes enough to provide for his family.

In order to expand his business, Zareena contacted BRAC Pakistan and requested a Kiva loan of 40,000 Pakistani rupees (PKR) for her son to purchase velvet and leather sheets and gum used in covering the vehicles' seats. This will provide better and on-time services to his clients and boost his net income. He wishes to spend the profits on the betterment of his family.
