Ecaterina's story

Ecaterina is a 28-year-old farmer from Frasinesti village in the Ungheni region in Moldova. She’s married and has a son and a daughter. Her son is a pupil at school and her daughter goes to kindergarten. Her husband Vladislav works as a security guard in a large agricultural complex.

At the moment, Ecaterina works as a seamstress for a sewing company in Ungheni. However, she wants to develop a small farm. She has 2.2 hectares (ha) of land which was her inheritance from her parents and grandparents. On 1.2 ha of land, she wants to plant corn, vines and vegetables, and on the remaining land, she wants to plant plum trees.

Ecaterina needs this loan from Kiva to purchase plum trees so she can create a better future for her children and her family.
