Espwa Fe Viv(Ga)'s story

Jesumene is a humble lady who lives in Jeremie. Thanks to her leadership, her community-based savings group has been empowering women in her area. The group is composed of 8 men and 22 women. Last year, they saved $550 dollars and they generated $60 as net income for the group over nine months. More than 50% of the members are farmers.

Today they are connected to Fonkoze, their first-time microfinance institution, and they are looking for a loan to increase their capital of savings. From left to right in the picture, Merita (member), Jesumene (President), Marie (Advisor), Claude (member) and Faude (secretary).

This loan will help Jesumene's savings group to restart their economical activity since the hurricane of October 2016.
