Noey's story

A farmer who is living in the Srey Snom district of Siem Reap province, Noey is 26 years old. Her main source of income is from a rice and cassava plantation. Her secondary source of income is from working as a paid worker. She has been a farmer around three years and tries to earn income to feed her two small children, who are under her responsibility. She is able to save up to 2.50 USD each day after daily expenses.

Her cassava has been destroyed by insects, so this has become the main challenge for her plantation. She has applied for two loans already and is now seeking a new loan with VisionFund. Noey will spend this kind loan to plow her farmland, which she expects will help to grow her cassava on time and increase output over last year.

In the future, she hopes to earn additional income to upgrade her lifestyle and to save for supporting her children’s education when they reach school age.
