Jarvis's story

I grew up in Stone Mountain, Georgia. I lived a classic, suburban lifestyle. I did not have a garden, or shop at farmer's markets. On occasion, we bought fresh milk from a farmer down the road from us. Now I live in Montana, growing food for hundreds of people. Our market garden started as one tiny table at the farmer's market. Now we supply food for a 280-person CSA, and have 8 tables set up at market every week. My husband and I are raising two children in the country, trying to teach them the values and skills associated with farming. We feel it is important to teach the next generation how to care for the land and themselves in a manner that is not harmful, and in a manner that is considerate of others.
