Mom, 42, is married and has five children who live in the Tbong Khmum province of Cambodia. She and her husband have been cultivating rice, cassava, and other crops to earn an income to support the family. Her family income is also aided by three of her children who are farmers as well, while the other two are still in school. This family can earn around 24 USD per day.
This group of three members is led by Mom who is pictured first on the right. She would like to use her loan share to pay for cassava harvesting costs. She sees that this investment will help her to harvest on time and get higher crop yields. With the profits from this season’s harvest, she would like to purchase two hectares of farmland, to renovate her house, and support her children going to college.
