Pom, 32, is Lao ethnic woman who lives with her spouse and her 10-year-old daughter in a stilt house in Dien Bien. In keeping with family tradition, she is in the agricultural production business, which is the only activity through which her family earns money. Her main hardship is the lack of capital to develop her business.

This time she has taken a loan from Anh Chi Em to buy fertilizer for her corn field. This will help her corn grow up healthily and quickly. Pom hopes she will have a great profit with which to better support her family.
