Sin Min-2 (A) Village Group's story

Sin Min-2 (A) Village Group is located in the dry zone region in Myanmar called Myingyan Township and has 161 households. People in this region earn their living by farming and breeding livestock. Last year, due to the weather inconsistency, villagers’ yields of popular crops were lower than expected.

Pictured above are the loan clients named Aung, Than, Zin, Pauksa and Yee. The first from the right is Aung, who is 63 years old, married and the father of eight children. With this new loan, Aung is going to buy more crop seeds and high quality fertilizer to be able to yield more crops at harvest time. Aung’s biggest aims are to be a larger producer and to give his family more stability.
