A loan helped to pay for labor costs involved in logging for a cashew plantation.


Chin's story

Chin is a 31-year-old women who lives in the Steung Traeng Province of Cambodia. She is married and has three children, one of whom is a student, while the other two are too young for school.

To support the family, Chin and her husband have been cultivating sesame to earn income for about three years. They make around 13USD each day.

In order to boost her crop yields, Chin is now requesting a loan to pay the labor costs involved in logging land to begin a cashew plantation. This loan will help her finances and increase her family income.

In the future, Chin wants to grow cashews, build a new house and help her children get a college education.
