Radhaben's story

Radhaben, a 39-year-old married woman, lives in Dahod in Gujarat. She lives with her husband and four school going children. Her household of six receives a monthly income of INR 11,000, out of which Radhaben manages to save INR 2,000, given their expenses amount to INR 9,000. The family's primary source of income is through farming and selling those products.

Radhaben wants to expand her business but the savings aren’t enough to support it. She therefore approached Prayas, Milaap’s field partner, seeking a loan of INR 15,000 to buy seeds, fertilizers and other necessary farm supplies for growing vegetables which she will sell in the market.
