A loan helped a member to buy seeds and fertilizer.

Dalias2 Group's story

The communal bank "Dalias 2" is starting its third Pro Mujer loan cycle through the Villa Adela social center. The group has 11 members and the management board is led by Benigna, the president.

The loan they are applying for will benefit small business owners, including Benigna. She currently has a business selling potatoes and says she learned the trade on her own several years ago.

This loan will be used to increase capital to buy seeds and fertilizer from vendors in her community. She will later use the items for production. Her work allows her to generate an income to support her family economically; she lives in a common-law relationship and has three children.

Note: Only ten members appear in the photo because Julia had to leave immediately for work after making her payment.

In this group: Benigna, Humberta, Rosalia, Julia Isidora, Jaqueline, Mayra Deyanira , Estefania, Kenneth Mauricio , Maria Luisa , Rosmery, Modesta
