Pictured above are Leh, Aye, Cho, Thein, Win, and Kyin. They are from Ah Shey Nga Kyaw village, which consists of 420 households.

Second from the left is Leh, the featured borrower. She is a very energetic and helpful woman who always actively leads in village development events.

Farming is the major business in this village. Apart from farming, people generate their income by opening small grocery stores and working as day laborers in nearby villages or townships. One of Leh’s dreams is that she wants to see her village grow and be more developed.


Through this new loan from Kiva, Leh and the other loan clients in Ah Shey Nga Kyaw - 1 (C) Group will use their portions to pay labor fees, so they will be able to harvest on-time, which will let them boost their income.

Leh is also looking forward to expanding her production.
