Aracely is 31 years old. She is a single mother and has two children with whom she lives in the municipality of Nueva Frontera, Santa Bárbara. She has made a living growing coffee on her property for nine years. She offers coffee products whether as cherries [the red fruit of the coffee plant], wet-processed, dry-processed cherries or sacks of beans.
With the aim of obtaining the resources needed to care for her plantation, she has decided to apply for another loan from the institution for 15,000 Lempiras. She will use this to buy fertilisers and pay for ground clearing for her coffee plantation. This will help her to care for the plantation which will give a better production and better quality produce. Her dream is to get ahead together with her children and have better coffee harvests since this is her source of income.
