A loan helped buy stock for clothing business.

Agripina's story

Agripina is a dedicated and caring mother. She is 35 years old and lives with her 3 children: Yeni, 17; Denis, 14; and Victor, 13. They live in a house that she inherited from her parents and what she most wants in the world is to give her children a decent life. Agripina has worked hard all her life to get ahead. At a young age, she started selling clothes, work that provides the money necessary to live. She now has a space on the Explanada Laguna Temporal (where the market fairs are held in Juliaca). She's a cheerful saleswoman and always meets potential buyers with a smile on her face. Agripina enjoys selling clothing and always convinces her customers to walk away with some article of clothing or other. Her greatest wish is to own a store where she can better tend to her customers and sell her merchandise more easily. She's operated the business for 8 years and the most difficult thing for her is having to stay in one place all day without being able to venture out. She wants to see her children take up professional careers and she's ready to work hard to make that happen. This is Agripina's sixth MFP loan. She has been very punctual in repaying past loans and expects to be so now, too. She is very active in her community bank and is well-regarded by the other members. With the three-thousand soles that she's requesting, she will buy more clothing to increase the quantity of merchandise she sells.
