Ms. Lập is standing first from the right in the photo. She is 61 years old and she is living with her grandchild in Nong Cong district, a rural town in Thanh Hoa province.
She is disabled. Lập has had a retail business selling dry food and general things for more than 10 years. Her household was recognized by the local government as poor; moreover, the market need is low in this region. The main hardship that Lập faces is lack of capital.
In 2012, Lập joined Thanh Hoa Microfinance Institution to improve her business. Lập has successfully repaid more than 10 loans from Thanh Hoa Microfinance Institution. She is requesting a loan to purchase more cakes, sweets, sugar, milk, etc., to resell.
Along with her business profit, Lập hopes for her family to be healthy and happy, and for her business to do well.
