A loan helped to pay for her daughter’s tuition so she can pursue her bachelor's degree for four years at university.

Nat's story

Nat is a reliable villager from Ponhea Krek district of Tbaung Khmum province. She is 40 years old and has three dependent children; one of them is studying at university.

She is an industrious farmer who has grown rice and cassava to earn a living for 22 years. She also works as a paid worker when she has free time from farming. These businesses allow her to save about 6 USD each day to meet her family’s needs.

This is her second loan from VisionFund. She already paid back the first loan and it has helped to save her business on time. Nat will use her entire loan to pay for her daughter’s tuition. Her daughter wants to pursue her bachelor's degree for four years at university. In the future, she hopes that this loan will help to keep her children in school until successfully graduated.

This loan is special because:

It provides children from low-income families with greater access to education.
