Regina's story

Regina is a single mother aged 38, with six children who all attend school. She lives in a rural area. Regina deals in agriculture, growing Matooke on a large scale, which she started in 2005 with the aim of increasing her family income. In addition to that she owns a drug shop, and she also offers an events decoration service.

Regina works seven days a week and each day she works at least for 12 hours. She wants a loan facility to buy manure for the banana plantation to increase the harvest. Her clients are traders from surrounding towns and her dream is to enlarge her plantation. However, her challenge is limited capital and long droughts.
