A loan helped to help her husband to restart his sales business after an injury.

Fatima's story

Fatima is a 37-year-old married woman living in the area of Rawalpindi, Pakistan, with her spouse and four children.

She wants to take a loan to support her husband. He is a salesman who supplies goods to general stores. His daily practice is to carry inventories such as Rusk, cakes, cookies, bubbles, chocolates, etc., from wholesalers and to deliver it to retailers by bike.

A few years ago, he got into a road accident on his bike and fractured his leg. Temporarily he was doing another job but getting a very low salary. Now, he is almost recovered from his injury and he wants to start his salesman business again, but he does not have cash in hand because most of his savings were spent over his injury.

Therefore, Fatima has requested a Kiva loan so that her husband can start his sales business again. She hopes that her husband will easily establish his business again and contribute to household expenses as earlier.

She is very thankful to Kiva and its field partner BRAC Pakistan.

This loan is special because:

It provides financial services in some of the poorest parts of Pakistan.
