A loan helped a member to buy yarn, needles and other products.

Yvaga Rape Group's story

The Yvaga Rape Group is in its second loan cycle. There are 20 women who joined together to struggle for a better quality of life. They all are from the city of San Pedro, an area far from the capital city of the country. Many of the members are from communities that have no access to some basic utilities.

Alejandrina is one of the members and she makes crocheted items on an order basis and also supplies to stores in the area. She assures us she has a lot of daily work and is able to earn a decent, honest living. She joined the group to grow and get ahead.

The loan she is applying for is to buy yarn, needles and other products to continue her craft and earn an income to support her family.

In this group: Alejandrina, Rosa, Ermelinda, Delaine, Silvia, Mirian, Salvadora, Dionocia, Estela, Ignacia, Maria, Inocencia, Ilda, Zuni, Pascuala, Pelagia, Cecilia, Elva, Ermelinda, Miguela
