Nan, 34, is married with two school aged children. She lives in the Tboung Khmum Province of Cambodia. She and her husband have been working on a cassava farm together for more than ten years, typically making around 15USD per day.
The weather conditions have been difficult for Cambodian farmers, Nan included. So, she has decided to form a group of three members and she is a group leader standing, the first on the right, in the picture. She asking for a loan to purchase natural fertilizer for her cassava farm. She sees this purchase will allow her to boost her crop yields and increase her daily income. In the future, she is going to purchase 3 hectares of farmland, renovate her house, and support her children to get high school.
