Imani Mutiume Women Group's story

The lady raising her hand in the photo is Jane, a member of Imani Mutiume Women Group. She is 59 years old, married and a mother of five children. She joined Hand in Hand Eastern Africa in 2013 to benefit from the training on enterprise development and financial management.

She does maize, beans and dairy farming. She is borrowing a Kiva loan to buy certified seeds and fertilizers to increase her maize harvest to generate more income, which will cater for her family's basic needs such as better diet and healthcare, as well as save for her sunset days.
