A loan helped to buy thread and hammock handles in order to make hammocks.

Suleima Areli's story

Suleima went to school through high school. She was not able to continue her higher education due to her financial situation. She is in a relationship, and her life partner is a bricklayer. She has two small daughters, and only one goes to kindergarten.

Suleima has been making hammocks for seven years. She learned this trade from her husband's family. She previously worked for a business in the city. Her husband now helps her make the hammocks, and they travel to town to sell the products to the customers.

She needs this loan to buy thread and hammock handles in order to make hammocks.

She dreams of giving her daughters a good education and continuing to invest in the business. She is happy about the support from Credicampo and Kiva.

Translated from Spanish by Kiva volunteer Ginny Kalish.
