The Guedalia Group has just finished paying back its first Kiva loan. Repayments were made on time and in full. Madeleine, the group's representative, would like to thank all the Kiva staff and its lenders for their support. With this loan, Madeleine was able to purchase traditional pagne cloth and ready-to-wear clothing for resale. The profits from this loan allowed her to pay for her children's school fees and meet some of her family's needs, as well as to expand her business.
Madeleine now needs a further loan to restock her market boutique and to continue her pagne cloth retail business. She wants to purchase a large quantity of pagne cloth which she will then resell. Once her wares have been sold, the profits will allow her to open a family savings account from which her children will benefit.
