A mother who is 46 years old, Si Veng is married and has five children; three of them are in school. She is a resident of Kandal province. She does rice farming, which is the primary source of income for her family, while her husband works as a construction worker to supplement her income. She has been in this business around 26 years.
This is the fifth loan cycle for her with VisionFund, and she totally paid back her past loans. She has used her past loan to better her living condition and support her children’s education as well.
Now she formed a group, consisting of four members, to apply for a new loan with VisionFund. Si Veng will spend her loan portion to buy fertilizer and pay for pumping water into her farmland. She hopes that her crops will be growing well and produce more output in order for her to keep supporting her children’s education.
