A loan helped to improve her fields to expand production and increase her family's income.

Juana's story

Juana and her husband, Mr. Máximo Villca, live in the Nueva Alianza area, in the municipality of Port Villarroel, in Carrasco province of Cochabamba, Bolivia. They are a humble family with limited economic resources. They have a parcel of land on which they produce pineapple and cassava to sell and cover their living costs. They cultivate other crops like vegetables in a small area for family consumption.

At this time, they find themselves unable to maintain their fields because of a shortage of labor. If they don't complete the work in the fields on time, they will lose the harvest. If the harvest is lost, the family will not be able to buy the food they require to eat. For this reason, Juana needs a loan to cover these necessities to improve her family's quality of life.
