A loan helped to start a Moringa farm, purchase fertilizer and pesticides, get adequate water and farm management training, and to hire a tractor to clear the land for planting the farm.

Hebron's story

Hebron is a forty-three-year-old man who is married with two children. He lives in Kishushe, a small village away from the town of Voi. His two children are in their teenage years, one aged eighteen and the other seventeen. Both are attending the same high school. While their children are at school, Hebron works on the farm and his wife works making and mending clothes.
Over the years of being a farmer, he had started to get interested in how he could help and be part of the community more. Starting a small herbal clinic has been a dream of his and hopes one day he can achieve this.

The loan will be used to start a Moringa farm. Moringa is a superfood with growing demand globally. The seeds produce oil with medicinal benefits and the leaves are packed with nutrition. The loan will be used to purchase seeds, fertilizer, and pesticides, get adequate water, obtain farm management training, and hire a tractor to clear the land for planting the farm. This loan is a chance for something greater; a chance to pull him out of a life of threatening poverty.
