Happy Farmers V Group's story

Ms Bạo is 52 years old and she is a single parent with four children.

She has worked in agriculture, raising poultry for more than 10 years. Bạo lives in Thieu Hoa district, a rural town in Thanh Hoa province.

Bạo's circumstance is the most difficult one in this group, as her husband passed away a long time ago. She has to work hard to foster her children and keep sending them to school. Her family is a low-income household in the village and the market need is low in this region. She has no collateral so she can't get a loan from other banks or credit institutions.

In 2010, Bạo joined Thanh Hoa microfinance institution to improve her business. Bạo has successfully repaid three loans from Thanh Hoa microfinance institution.

The main hardship that Bạo faces is the lack of capital. She is requesting a loan to purchase baby poultry to raise and sell in the future. With her business profit, Bạo hopes for her business to do well, for her children to find a good job, and for her family to be healthy and happy.
