A loan helped a member to buy seeds for her garden.

Nipagagno Group's story

Hawa is a 58-year-old Maiian housewife, pictured holding onions. She lives with her farmer husband and their eight children aged from 2 to 29 years, four of whom attend school.

Hawa has worked as a gardener for more than 15 years, buying her supplies and selling her products (including peppers, onions, and tomatoes) in the local market. Despite minor difficulties sometimes encountered due to heavy rainfall, she enjoys her job.

Hawa works with RMCR to fund the purchase of seeds and fertilizer to increase her garden's output. She earns about 30,000 West African francs per month (100,000 to 150,000 per growing season). Thanks to her earnings, she has been able to buy a motorcycle and can help with urgent financial needs for her family.

In the future, she plans to help her husband to buy transport for her children to travel to school in better conditions.
