A loan helped to purchase seeds and plastic film for her greenhouse in order to grow organic fruits and vegetables.

Zhamila's story

Jamila successfully repaid her loan and is grateful to Kiva and all those who helped with the financing. She currently has a 2.08 hectare plot of land where she grows tomatoes and watermelons, along with five cows, three sheep, and a horse. Jamila applied for a new loan of 100,000 som (KGS) with Bai-Tushum Bank to buy plastic film for her greenhouse, seeds, and fertilizer so that she can grow organic fruits and vegetables. The earnings from the loan will enable her to expand her farm and build a barn for her livestock.
