A loan helped a member to buy fertilizers and pay for labor to perform maintenance on her coffee plantations.

Grupo Mujeres Xejuyup Group's story

Catarina, 21, is single. She lives in a community from a village called Xejuyup.

With the goal of earning an income and getting ahead with her family, Catarina grows and sells coffee. She has been doing this for five years, but she also buys and sells groceries to improve her income.

Thinking of getting ahead, she has decided to apply for a loan to buy fertilizers and pay for the labor needed to perform maintenance on her coffee plantations, so that she can have a good harvest at the end of the year, and sell her produce at the regional market.

Her biggest dream is to improve her family's living conditions.
