Kiva.org launches Starbucks Community Partnership!
September 17, 2006By: Mairead Johnson
Kiva.org is today launching its Community Partner relationship with the new Bay & Taylor Starbucks location in San Francisco. We'll be at the store tonight from 3:00pm - 8:00pm introducing customers to Kiva.org with a loan station created specifically for this partnership.
Kiva.org is very excited to be partnering with Starbucks, who has an impressive record of contributing back to the communities in which they operate - both those to which they sell coffee and those from which they buy coffee. We're looking forward to the day someone can walk into any Starbucks location, purchase a cup of coffee from Ethiopia, Brazil or Colombia and then make a loan to an entrepreneur in the same country through a Kiva loan station in the store!
Come and visit us at the store on Bay and Taylor, San Francisco tonight - and we'll keep you updated on future partnership activities with Starbucks.
