Did You Know? - Team Message Contact Preferences
January 29, 2009By: Gerard Niemira
Way back in the summer when we launched Kiva Lending Teams, we had no idea how active some of our lending teams could become and how popular team message boards would be. Some of the most interesting content on our website is generated by team members posting to team message boards.
If you're a member of a lending team, whenever someone posts to the team message board you'll get an email. As some lending team members will tell you (I'm talking to you, Team Obama), getting lots and lots of these emails can get a little difficult to manage.
So we added a contact preference that allows you to opt-out of these emails. This way, if you don't want to get an email about new posts to the team message boards, you don't have to ( you can just navigate over to the Community tab and check up on your teams at your discretion).
To do this, log into your Kiva account and click "My Portfolio", then "My Account" and "Email Prefrences". There you have the option to tell us which Kiva emails you'd like to receive and, in some cases, how often you'd like to receive them.
