As Kiva's Community Marketing Manager, Ali works with Kiva's lender community both online and offline to inspire, build connections, and grow engagement. Before coming to Kiva in 2009, Ali spent several years splitting time between rural Kenya, where she founded and ran a jewelry company working with local artisans, and North Carolina, where she graduated from Wake Forest University with a B.A. in Communications and Studio Art. On a given day, you might find Ali riding her tandem bicycle to work with her husband Jonny, planning an adventurous excursion, or eating at one of San Francisco's many amazing restaurants.
