VisionFund Uganda was established as a subsidiary of VisionFund International, a global microfinance institution that is owned by World Vision International. Within Uganda’s competitive microfinance market, VisionFund Uganda is one of the best MFIs in the country because of their competitive interest rates, turn-around time, good staffing and strong brand.
VisionFund Uganda’s goal is to serve low-income business owners living in areas where World Vision operates. They have a unique focus on areas of need, so 87% of VisionFund Uganda’s clientele are rural.

VisionFund Uganda uses Kiva financing to provide agriculture loans. VisionFund Uganda takes a ‘credit with education’ approach, where alongside their loans they offer clients business training and technical knowledge to help their businesses succeed.
