La Cumbrita Group
A loan of $1,050 helps a member to buy ingredients to make tamales.

La Cumbrita Group's story
Maria Gregoria is 65 years old and lives with her two oldest children in her own home and doesn't receive any family remittances.
Maria makes corn, chicken, and pisque tamales. (A pisque tamale is a traditional Salavordan recipe.) This work allows her to earn an income to cover her financial responsibilities. She wants to strengthen her business which is why she's requesting a loan to buy ingredients to make tamales. This loan will help her earn more income.
Maria, Manuel, and Sonia make up the solidarity group "La Cumbrita" and are all working to get ahead.
