A loan of $1,200 helps to buy seedlings and fertilizer.

Vang's story
Mrs. Vang, a 60-year-old woman from Thạch Thành district, belongs to an ethnic minority in Vietnam. She lives with her family, while her four grown children have established their own households.
With over 30 years of experience in farming, Mrs. Vang also works cutting sugarcane for local households, while her husband is a construction worker. However, both of their jobs depend on customer demand, leading to an unstable monthly income of around $470. As a result, they are still classified as a low-income household in the community. This is her second loan from Thanh Hóa MFI, as previous financial support has helped improve her family's living conditions. This time, she seeks funding to invest in sugarcane farming—purchasing seedlings and fertilizer to grow and harvest a profitable crop, ensuring additional income for her later years. However, she faces challenges as agricultural products often sell at low prices.
Looking ahead, Mrs. Vang hopes for a healthy and happy family life. She dreams of building a new house and acquiring more tools and equipment to support her farming and business activities.
