Benkadi Group's story
Samba, the one with his hand on the tomato plant in the photo, lives in a rural area in Mali, and has been farming for 8 years. He does market gardening, and also raises and fattens livestock. He is married and the father of 4 children, ranging in age from 4 to 12 years old, 2 of whom are in school.
He is requesting a loan to buy more livestock, and additional seeds for his farming. He purchases, and sells, at the weekly markets. His business allows him to earn 45 - 60,000 XOF per month which covers his children's expenses, school fees, and health care. His wife looks after the household and helps with his business.
With Lending Partner RMCR, Samba has succeeded in the timely treating of his crops against insects. He dreams of one day achieving financial independence.
