Benkola Group
A loan of $2,075 helps a member to buy rams, raise them and sell them at a profit after a few months.

Benkola Group's story
Salimata is the one holding the sheep's rope in her hand in the photo. She is 44 years old, married and the mother of 06 children, including five (05) at school. She has been raising sheep for 11 years.
She wants to develop this activity by taking out an RMCR loan to buy rams. She obtains her supplies from nearby fairs and sells them at the same fairs. She can make a profit of 70,000 FCFA, and the income from her ram sales is used to support her family. She has to contend with the problem of animal epidemics, but is organising herself to overcome this.
In the future, she hopes to have more funding to expand her business and to have plenty of profit to build a home for her children.
