Sabugnouma Group's story

Sekou is the man holding the cattle’s tether in the photo. He is 55 years old and married, and his wife is a homemaker. He did not go to school. He is the father of eight children of whom three are in school. His children are aged 8 to 20.

He has been in this business raising cattle for over a decade. He gets his supplies from nearby markets. From his sales, his profit can vary from 50,000 to 100,000 francs CFA. With his profits, he manages to provide for the needs of his family, such as healthcare coverage, clothing, schooling for the children, and food.

Sekou is now on his 16th loan cycle. And his wish for the future is to have more funding to be able to cope with providing for his children’s well-being.

As for Salif, who is taking a break from this loan cycle, he appears in the photo, since he is a member and agreed to appear.
