Maria Lucrecia's story
Maria Lucrecia is 65 years old and married. She has 6 children, all of them grown and independent. She lives in her own home in the city of Portoviejo. It is a city rich in the production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruit for domestic consumption. It has beaches and a variety of tourist attractions.
Maria Lucrecia and her husband sell beef in the city market. They sell fresh, high quality meat every day in a spot that she rents there. She also sells from her home to customers who always go to request the meat because they say that it is high quality, with a good weight and a fair price. Her husband is in charge of going to the countryside to buy the cattle and take them to be butchered at the city slaughterhouse. In her home, she also has a small store where she sells a variety of products, like school supplies, cleaning products, jewelry, snacks, makeup, and more. She makes sales everyday.
Maria Lucrecia is very thankful to the good people who help her with the loans. With them, she is able to keep giving her family the best.
